Adios, Mr. Hopper

Dennis Hopper has died. I greatly admired his acting. I remember seeing him on Inside the Actor's Studio, offering advice to young actors. He said something like, "Take a walk and pay attention to your senses. Be as alive as you can in the present moment. Store up memories in vivid detail. Notice how things make you feel. That's what an actor works with." I found that advice incredibly useful and I'm not even an actor.

I know you can't hear me now, but goodbye, Dennis. Thank you for giving yourself so completely, passionately and thoughtfully to your craft. It was worth it, man.
