Meet The Alonzo Fugate Fan Club's Half-Hearted Member #1

I believe I've found the next J.K. Rowling. His name is Alonzo Fugate. He's a schoolteacher who writes children's stories for the Kentucky Mountain News.

(While you're over there, take their poll.)

Is it just me or is it odd to write a children's story about hoping you're dead so you can be on the other side of a seance with a large-breasted psychic?

“Stop it!” I muttered to myself. Surely if I were already dead then I would know about it. After all…Ghost Whisperer was one of my favorite shows. I knew that if I were truly dead that help was just one step away….one lovely, well-endowed medium’s gentle smile away.

There's probably a lot more weirdness in there, but to be honest, I haven't been able to make it through more than a couple of paragraphs. Like I said in my last post, I'm too lazy to do research.

But you go ahead and enjoy! And tell me how it comes out. Or even what the hell's going on over there in Kentucky.
